Eymardian Places website is written and compiled by Damien Cash, Historian and Provincial Archivist for the Australian Province of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation.
This website draws on the archival resources of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation and St Francis’ Church Heritage Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Information about St Peter Julian Eymard’s life is largely based on Eymard’s original writings and on the English-language biographical works produced by members of the religious congregations that Eymard founded. In particular, Eymardian Places acknowledges and recommends the following published sources:
- Catherine Marie Caron SSS (transl.), The Life and Letters of Saint Peter Julian Eymard, six vols (Albuquerque: 1995)
- André Guitton SSS, Peter Julian Eymard: Apostle of the Eucharist (Ponteranica: Centro Eucaristico, 1996 edn, orig. publ. 1992)
- Norman B. Pelletier SSS, Tomorrow will be too late: a life of Saint Peter Julian Eymard (1811-1868): Apostle of the Eucharist (New York: Society of St Paul, 2002 edn, orig. publ. 1992)
Eymardian Places is especially grateful to Fr Peter Collins SSS, Jeff Connor, and Fr Jo Dirks SSS for the use of colour photographs taken on their various pilgrimages to the Eymardian places in France. Fr Tony McSweeney SSS and Fr Jo Dirks SSS kindly permitted the use and adaptation of their recent slide presentation The Eymard Bicentenary (2011).
This website is also indebted to numerous photographers (credited below) who facilitated the usage or adaptation of their images through Creative Commons licensing or public domain release. Use of the Google Maps API and the Google Translate widget on this website is gratefully acknowledged to Google.
